Campbell Gets A New Ride . . . .

It's been a while . . . it's me Campbell. Wow, I need to fill you in on my weekend. . . .

For starters, I got a new car. Yep, you heard me, I have a new car. I, along with mommy, hated daddy's old Ford Focus. I thought it sounded like an airplane inside (I've never been in an airplane, but I can only imagine that it sounded like my daddy's car) and my mom thought it wasn't safe for me. She called it a roller skate. Anyway, here is daddy's new car. Actually, here is mommy's new car that my dad drives to work. It's a Kia Optima and it gets great gas mileage.

Now onto the weekend. This is my Savannah BFF. Her name is Finley.

She turned one year old last week.

Some friends of her mommy threw her a surprise birthday party. I think she was really surprised. Especially since she's never had a birthday party before this year.

At the party, there were lots of friends of my mommy and daddy and guess what? A lot of them have babies too. I started counting how many babies were there and I couldn't keep them all straight. Let's see if I can remember them all by name . . .

Above is George. He's drinking 6oz of milk at a time now. He's 5 months old. He looks just like his daddy. I'm still not sure who I look like?

This is my West Ashley BFF. Her name is Louisa . . . . she was born a little early, but you would never tell. Her dad plays in a rock band. I think he's cool!

Speaking of rock bands, there was one at the party. This was my first concert. Here is my daddy and I rocking it out with the band. My dad kept yelling "More Cowbell" for some reason?

This is my Johns Island BFF. Her name is Elle. She is about 8 months old and she's sooo cool!

This is one of my new BFFs. Her name is Reese. I just met her and I sure like her a lot!

These two cute boys are Davis and Hudson. They let me and my mommy and daddy spend the night with them. They were so nice to me. They let me borrow their blankets and teddy bear so I would be comfortable and warm.

Well that's my trip . . . wow, what a lot of kids. I guess a lot of my parents' friends have children too. I sure hope I get to see them again real soon.

Oh, my daddy stepped on a scale with me the other day and it said I was 13lbs . . . . Tata for now!

Campbell Laughs . . . promise

So for the past week or so we've been able to get Campbell to "belly laugh." You know the kind of laugh that comes from the stomach and ends in a hysterical cackle. We've tried to get it on video and every time we start filming, she stops and stares at the camera. Well, here is another one of our failed attempts at catching Campbell's hysterical laughs. The only thing hysterical in this video is me trying to get her to laugh. That's me singing, "Going back to Callie" to Campbell, which, in the past, made Campbell chuckle.

I thought these pictures were funny. The above picture is Campbell "helping" me water the plants and one below is her in the same hat a few months ago. Needless to say, I had to put that hat away in the "too small" bin... Can you say "chubby baby"?

So I've ran into some extra money (joke, we don't have any money) and was thinking about buying Campbell some things.

This first item would be very helpful for us since our house has hardwoods and helpful for Campbell since she'll be crawling before we know it. Of course she has to hold up her head first...

I thought this is nice . . . she can't swim, but she likes the water so this would keep her safe?

She likes her paci . .. so what about one that celebrates her heritage?

This would be great . . . it's a "green" item since it doesn't use electricity . . . and it's helpful in getting those boogies!

This serves two purposes . . . a tummy time aide and a Halloween costume.

At least when she passes gas, it will be funny!

She is a princess and every princess needs her high-heels! I figure if she can first learn to walk in these, walking bare-footed or in "normal" shoes will be a piece of cake.

This is great when you need to use a public restroom or mow the lawn or run to Target but you worry about the baby's safety. This will be sure to keep Campbell safe.

At 3:00am it's difficult to stay awake feeding her and holding a bottle. This way I don't need to worry about falling asleep. If I do, at least I will not drop the bottle.

Campbell Got Baptized

Today, Campbell was baptized at our home church (Westminster Presbyterian). It was a wonderful, very joyous occasion. We had lots of family and friends there. Campbell was able to meet many people and be held by them for the first time. Above is Campbell's cousin Beth, Great Aunt FA, and Campbell's Great Grandma Robinson.

We had a few other guest there that I cannot forget to mention . . . Campbell's Grandad and his wife, my sister and her family (Beth, Rob, Matthew, and Madeline - their site - side note -Beth makes the best cakes), of course Campbell's Nana and Pop (the Hoppers), our family friends Adrienne, Rob and their daughter Emily (see their site), and another family friend, Nancy and Mary . . .thanks for all of your help . . . and much, much more!

3 Months Home

As most of you guessed from the title, Campbell has been home for 3 months now. As we were giving her a bath tonight, we realized how much she's grown. We used to have to help keep her head above the water and today, she sits up perfectly in it. Check out the comparison pictures above. (on a side note, today was a first . . . right after taking this cute picture, Campbell "soiled" her tub - use your imagination and you'll figure out what I mean) It's amazing what a difference 6lbs makes.

I Survived My 1st 4th of July . . . I'm not sure if my parents did . . .

Peeps, I'm back! I know it's been a week, but I've been busy hanging out at Folly Beach. That's me and my mom above. She loves me sooooo much! Anyway, at the beach, it was BABY CENTRAL!!!! There were so many babies there, I'm sure if I start naming them, I'll forget one, two, or three of them. Let's see, there was Finley, Louisa, Elle, Charlie, McKenna, and many, many more. Oh, I even got to see Jillian and Evan . . . they stopped by and watched the fireworks from the beach.

Guess what . . . I think I'm hitting a growth spurt. . . I'm hoping to get to the 5% length range. yesterday I ate all day long and only slept in two hour increments. Because of this, I was able to see my mommy and daddy at 10pm, 12am, 2am, 4am, and 6am. 4 and 6am were the best . . . I laid awake"talking" with them for at least an hour.




A lot of the babies there had their 4th of July outfits on. Just like my friend Finley who is 11 months old. That's her with her daddy Greg. He's funny. He and my daddy, with others like Jennifer, Jeff, Aunt Sara, and my mommy played Rock Band until the early morning . . . okay, they're old so they played until 10pm . . . but that's pretty late for them.



Finally, my mom and I enjoying a nice beach breeze. . . that's me, dreaming, smiling, enjoying life!

We miss you, Daddy~

Thank goodness Daddy is coming home today! I have been a really good girl for Mommy, but we both really miss him. In fact I decided since he's been gone to sleep a lot more at night. One night I slept 7 hours in a row!

I had to go to the pediatrician today and get some yucky shots :( pout... The good thing is that he is really happy with my weight gain- I weigh 10 pounds and 6 ounces! My mommy says I'm starting to look more like her every day with my chubby cheeks. He is a little worried because he says I'm a little short (only in the 3rd percentile for my adjusted age from my due date) but I just know I'm "petite". Now if only my thighs were petite... I'm pretty sure I feel a growth spurt coming on and will catch up by my next appointment.

I also have to go see a special doctor called a pull-mo-nawl-o-jist. Apparantly I breathe kinda loud and even though he's sure it's normal, we just want to check it out. My doctor says preemies are "sneaky" and even though he's sure it's fine, he says we (preemies) just aren't reliable. Can you imagine?

Anyway, only 9 more hours til Daddy gets home...and then we leave tomorrow for Charleston. Apparantly Mommy and Daddy have some friends down there who I haven't met yet. They keep talking about "showing me off." I know I'm cute and all, but really...must I always be the center of attention? Oh wait, yes I do...that's the way I like it!
