I feel so bad that it's been so long since a real blog post. What can I say? We've been busy and we've been fighting illness. First was the busy-ness of Christmas then our house was invaded with germs...I got a nasty cough and cold and was miserable for almost a week, then Campbell got it (complete with 6 days of fever) and now Maggie has it. So far Robbie has avoided it...let's pray he doesn't get it.
We had so much fun this Christmas break!
Our local children's museum had a Cookies with Santa event that was fun...for everyone except Maggie. She's still not a big fan of Santa. Campbell, on the other hand, loves him!
She was happier when she got to eat some cookies.
We went to Grandma (Robbie's mom) and Grandpa Parker's house to celebrate Christmas. The girls had a great time playing with their cousins, Matthew and Madeline.
On Christmas Eve, we went to a special candle-light church service then to my parents' house.

Maggie has a new "cheese" face. It is so cute when she does it (which is frequent!).
Maggie is really growing up and becoming more independent. We noticed that she was so much more receptive to other people over this holiday. It was so nice to see her being as sweet to others as she is to us.
This is another of Maggie's faces...this one means "I want that bite of food now!"
The girls loved opening their gifts and spending time with family!
Christmas morning, Campbell got up really early. We talked her into just staying in our bed for a little while to let Maggie sleep. Luckily, she's at an age that she'll still go along with that suggestion :) Once Maggie woke up, the girls were so excited to see what Santa brought them. We had a great time opening presents and then having a special breakfast together. Notice the picture of Campbell hugging the box for her Dora doll. All she ever asked Santa for was Dora...and he came through :)
I also enjoyed my Christmas gifts...especially my new bike that Robbie got me! Trialthons, here I come!
A couple of days after Christmas, Campbell and I took a big girls' trip to Virginia to visit my sister,
Julie, and meet her youngest baby, Eliza. Robbie and I decided that he'd stay home with Maggie since it was such a quick trip and Maggie has such a hard time in the car. Campbell and I had a great time. She was so well behaved on the 7+ hour car ride and she loved seeing her cousins (can you tell our girls have lots of cousins?!).
While we were there, we went to an Air Force Museum. Campbell was pretty fascinated by the aircraft, especially the space shuttle.
She got to sit in a Cessna and pretend to fly. When I asked her where she was going to fly to, she said "I'm flying home to see my Daddy." So sweet, right?!

I'm trying to turn Campbell into a shopper like her mommy, her mommy's sisters, and her mommy's mommy. We had fun trying on sunglasses on one shopping trip.
Robbie loves taking the girls to the swimming pool at the YMCA. It's a special time for him and the girls.
He also likes taking them to Chick Fil A :)
Campbell's new favorite game is Hide and Seek. She has a few things to learn about the art of hiding...
I have to say this Christmas was my favorite so far since starting our family. I am so happy that I have a lifetime of Christmases to look forward to with them!
