Daddy's Weekly Dollop

I know it's been a while since we've posted (sorry Grandma).  Here are Daddy's Weekly Dollops:

1)  My girls are stylish . . . Martha bought her and the girls some matching embroidered hats.  Here's Maggie with hers.  "Daddy take my picture."

2) Campbell and Maggie love their sports.  Maggie's playing soccer and Campbell's playing baseball.  I'm coaching both of their teams.  Aren't they the cutest soccer and baseball players?

3) On Friday, Maggie was my breakfast date.  We love some Chick-fil-A!

4) I needed a headshot for work, so I had Martha take my picture.  While we were at the park, I took some of the girls.  

5) I love being silly with my girls!  They have such a fun sense of humor.

Daddy's Weekly Dollop

Here are some daddy's weekly dollops from last week . . . enjoy.

1)  Daddy Daughter Dance - yes, it was that time again where the girls and I had our annual daddy/daughter dance night.  One of the local churches host the annual event and I've attended the previous two years:  once with Campbell and once with both girls.

2) Daddy/Daughter Date Night @ Chick-fil-A - One of our local Chick-fil-As host a daddy/daughter date night a few days before Valentines Day.  The girls and I went last year and we had a blast at this year's event.

3) The American Girl Dolls have violins - That's right, Ruthie (Maggie's) and Elizabeth (Campbell's) dolls have their own violins.

4)  Maggie's a nut . . . I've said this before, and I'll say this again . . . Maggie is a nut.  I absolutely love her personality.

5) The middle of my heart - For Valentines Day, Nana made a heart brownie.  When I asked the girls what kind of piece they wanted, they both said, "the middle."  They know which part of the brownie is the best . . . the soft middle.  Yummy!

Princess Campbell Turns 7

On Tuesday, my little princess turned 7.  While I'm not ready to admit that she's already 7, it really happened. Keeping with tradition, our morning started with the birthday doughnut on the birthday plate.

Her birthday continued into the evening when her Grandma and Grandpa met me (Robbie) and the girls for dinner.

 Her birthday turned into a birthday week as her actual birthday party was on Saturday.  Her Nana treated her and 6 of her friends to an American Girl Doll Store Bistro party.

Daddy's Weekly Dollop

Here are little dollops from the past week:

1)  Maggie is a Nut!  I absolutely love Maggie's personality.  She's funny, witty, and makes the best facial expressions.  I was looking at the pictures in my phone and came across these pictures.  If there were a set of pictures that truly captured Maggie's personality, it would have to be these:

2) Maggie and I have decided that it's time to practice riding her bike without training wheels.  She did better for our first practice session than I thought she'd do.  She's not one who tolerates pain, so I thought for sure that after her first fall, we'd be done.  Nope . . . she has stuck with it and we practiced for about 30 minutes and she did great (relatively speaking).  Here she is showing off her new look.

3)  My legs hurt . . .  Campbell, Maggie and I worked in our church nursery this past Sunday.  One of the little girls was slightly upset so I was holding her.  Campbell walked by and the girl reached out for Campbell.  So I decided to let Campbell hold her for a minute.  Well, that minute turned out to be for about 45 minutes.  For 45 minutes, Campbell was stuck.  If I set the little girl on the ground, she'd turn around and reach back out for Campbell.  After about 15 minutes, Campbell began saying how her leg hurt from the girl sitting on it.  Well, she stuck it out and did a great job keeping the little girl calm.  Campbell even read some books to her.

4)  We went to see the movie Annie over the weekend.  Campbell brought one of her friends along.  The girls loved it.  Campbell and her friend stayed in their seats the whole time and didn't move a muscle.  Maggie on the other hand . . . well, let's just say, Maggie and I went exploring.  Somehow we found our way to the front row where we watched about 15 minutes of the movie.

Bonus:  Here's a picture of the girls from our family vacation that we took during Labor Day Weekend.  It was nice to get a way for a few days with just the family.
