1. We have started doing a nightly devotional with Campbell. Robbie and I do it with her together. She calls it her Bible and it's been so special watching her get excited to learn about God. We are using this book:

My favorite part is the prayer at the end. She is so sweet and earnest in her prayers.
2. Maggie has started shaking her head no. She is getting much more accurate with her nods and shaking her head no. It's so cute to watch those curls bouncing around as she lets us know what she does and doesn't want!
3. There are times when we don't answer Campbell immediately when she tries to get our attention. For example, if I'm talking to another adult and she is trying to interrupt or I'm distracted by something else. Her new response when she doesn't our immediate attention is to say "I don't heeeeaaaarrrr you!" It's as if she's letting us know she's waiting for our response and since it usually makes us laugh, she gets our attention :)
4. One of our favorite activities to do as a family is to go out to breakfast. We would rather go out to breakfast than go out to dinner. We just love it and it's always a special time. We've also noticed recently that Campbell has my tastes and always orders something sweet (usually pancakes but she'll settle for donuts or muffins) and she loves bacon. Maggie prefers eggs just like her Daddy. She loves omelets, scrambled eggs, any kind of eggs. She also loves hash browns...just like her Daddy.
5. The girls got to spend some time with their Grandma Parker and Great-Grandma Moore. It was only the 2nd time Campbell has met Great-Grandma Moore and Maggie's 1st time so it was a very nice time. Thanks for coming to see them!
6. This week the girls and I went to a mall in Washington, DC (post about that trip to come tomorrow). There was a hologram game on the floor where the images in different scenes moved around according to where you were standing and moving. For example, a pool image had "water" that would ripple as the girls walked on it. It was really cool and the girls had a blast. Maggie also loved pushing her stroller around the area as Campbell played with the game. As they were running like wild children around this area, I had my trusty iPhone out trying to take their picture. As I was trying in vain to get a good picture, a nice looking older gentleman dressed in a business suit walked up to me. He said "They grow up so fast. I remember when my Molly was this age." As he said this, he pulled out his phone to show me a bridal picture of Molly. He went on to say "I remember when she was this age that some days went by soooo slowly. But then the years went by so fast." Yep, this mama isn't afraid to say I cried a few tears when he said that...
Here are the pictures I was taking when he came up to me. I just know one day I'll look back at these and think "Wow...the years did go by so fast." I'll probably cry then, too.

Sniff! I totally would have teared up right in front of Molly's dad. So sweet!
That is such a sweet story about the older gentleman-I would have cried too!
We loved and used that same devotion book with our oldest for 2 years before we started another one with him this year and will reuse it with our youngest. One of the prayers from that book became our dinner prayer 2 years ago and it still makes me smile- "thank you God for the food we eat, that fills our tummies and tastes so sweet-amen." Love it!
