The Most Magical Place On Earth . . . and they are not kidding
The Compton's Headed to Disney
We've known for a few months that we were going to take the girls to Disney for their first trip because I (Robbie) had a conference there to attend. Martha and I debated for these months on how we were going to make the reveal. We decided that the princesses would send the girls a letter a few days prior. Here's how it went down:
The letter that arrived two days prior
On Friday, we picked up the girls a few minutes early and got on the road. 514 miles later, around 11:30pm, we arrived at our resort. The next morning, Saturday, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom. It was overcast and raining so the clouds were kept away until later that afternoon. It was good that it wasn't too crowded. This gave us the opportunity to get acclimated in a less stressful environment. Before we get to the pictures, I will say that I was had one disappointment from my first day (this was my first time at Disney too) . . . Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom is nothing but a walkway (I know, there's a special guest room up there somewhere . . . . but really, it's a walkway)
First ride . . . the merry-go-round
First princess and first fast-pass . . . Princess Ariel

Campbell was picked to play The Beast in the Enchanted Tales "ride." Belle is giving The Beast a thank you hug.
Maggie, the salt shaker, with Belle
The family enjoying a ride on Dumbo
No trip to Disney would be complete without a ride, or two, on the Teacups.
The next morning, Sunday, my conference started so Martha and the girls made their wait to Epcot without me. Their first stop was at breakfast with Cinderella and the Princesses.
The girls got dressed up to have breakfast with Cinderella

The next day was another conference day for me, so the girls decided they would spend a second day at Magic Kingdom.

The girls with Anna and Elsa . . . thank goodness for a Fastpass. People stood in line for 3+ hours to see them.
Another round with Enchanted Tales with Belle . . . this time with Maggie as The Beast.

Martha wanted one thing while at Disney . . . a Dole-whip.
I was able to join the family in the evening. I take blasting Emperor Zurg quite seriously

Campbell wanted to ride Splash Mountain . . . .I hate that I didn't buy this picture. Her smile is precious!

We all had a blast. So much so, I think Martha is already planning our next trip. I'm glad that it worked out that I needed to be there for a conference and Martha and the girls were able to go. It was a great family trip that I don't think we'll be forgetting any time soon.
