The following post is about the same thing, but from two different perspectives. The same thing happened that Martha and I both observed, however, our thoughts about it were very different. We'll let you decide . . .
Robbie:
First let me say Happy Birthday to my sister Beth! So as some of you know, Campbell had her first cold last week, just to get her first stomach bug this weekend past. Throughout the course of the week, she passed it along to Nana (Martha's mom) who keeps Campbell. On Wednesday night we received a phone call from Nana saying how she's been throwing up all evening. So since Martha had a meeting on Thursday morning, I decided to take the day off. The day went great. Around noon, I decided to get her dressed so she and I could go shopping, and maybe go by and see Martha at school. I found some cute polo type pink shirt with a collar and the buttons in the front. I thought the shirt was quite cute . . . so to match the cuteness of of the shirt, I found some jeans for her to wear. These jeans had a pink-ish type cuff on them. I was quite proud of how well I dressed my baby . . . after dressing her, we went shopping, but we never made it to school since she began getting tired. I'm not sure why, but when Martha came home to see her, her first words were, "You took her out in public?!"

Martha:
First let me say happy birthday to my sister-in-law Beth . . . So, poor Campbell has had a tough couple of weeks. First, she had a little cold last week. She finally was feeling better so we headed to Charleston and then she got a nasty stomach bug that is going around. I stayed home with her Monday then she started feeling well enough for me to go back to work. She still has had some diarrhea but is keeping enough fluids down to keep hydrated.
Then, poor Nana caught the bug. I had an important meeting so we decided Robbie could be a stay at home dad on Thursday. When I got home, she had just had another bout of diarrhea and I decided to relieve Robbie and change her. When I saw her outfit I was horrified that Robbie had taken her out in public...thank God he did not bring her to school. She was wearing a pink shirt with thick black piping around the edges. Her pants were little jeans with PURPLE flowers and a PURPLE cuff. No pink, no black. Oh, and she was wearing purple socks, so they at least matched the pants.
It gets even better... Due to the poop explosion I had to change her clothes (which I would have done anyway to make her match). As I unbuttoned the collar of the shirt, I realized that IT WAS ON BACKWARDS. Needless to say, Nana is still sick, so this morning I laid out two outfits, complete with tights and matching bow. Robbie brought her to visit me at school and she looked adorable.

Poor Nana. I hate she got it. I love your two perspectives. You need to put on the outfit Robbie had on her and post a picture so we can see. :-)

Geez Robbie, can't you dress your kid right? To Nana: I'm SO sorry we passed along a bug to you. We know it's not fun and hope you feel better soon.
Too bad we didnt have pictures of this outfit.
This is why I leave an outfit laying out for Kenny every morning- otherwise, he comes up with the weirdest combos. Daddies of little girls have a lot to learn!
I am still laughing!! Hope all is well and that you have a wonderful Christmas! Give Campbell hugs from me!

see no issue with pink and purple in the same outfit. ;)
Mar, it does not get any better. No matter how much you try to train your husband, you will still have to lay out her clothes. You've seen some of the mess that Rodney's put on Macy- wow!

thank goodness she's back with nana today! Although she's sitting on my lap right now when she should be napping. Either she really missed me and can't let me out of her sight OR Robbie really spoiled her in 2 days. Thanks for your get well thoughts.
I have to side with you Martha. Still laying out my girls outfits (including undershirt, socks, hairbow and shoes that match) for their daddy to dress them in everyday! The few times I did forget, I went into panic mode when I realize what I had done! What will they look like, where will he take them for people to see them:) One day my little Sarah Beth went all day with her shirt on backwards! Wait until her hair gets long enough to have to go into a hair band and bow! Start teaching him now, on a baby doll, how to brush then wrap the band around the hair and get an even amount of hair in there:)

If Daddy gets the boys ready, I don't complain about how they're dressed! But if I have an outfit in mind that really matters to me, I lay them out. It's probably easier for Dads to get their little men dressed though...
I love the two perspectives! That is a scream! John used to (actually still does) dress McInnes because I leave earlier (now with him in tow). He would put strange combinations on too, but my mother gave me wise advice. If he is helping out, don't complain about how he does it! So he just wore wacky combinations. Now he is old enough to be stubborn about his own wacky combinations. Summer, ONLY Hanes white t-shirts, winter ONLY sweatpants.
