5 on Friday!

Well, hello there! Long time, no see!  We have had a very busy and fun-filled summer and the blog has been sadly neglected.  I promise that I will be working on posts about our trips to DC and the beach as well as some of our fun summer playdates!

Here are 5 reasons I'm loving my girls:

1.  We got a pretty awesome hand-me-down last week and have been playing on it as much as possible!  It got even more fun when they discovered that the little float from our slip n' slide makes it even faster!

2.  Maggie has learned how to pedal!
(PS- notice in the video that she is in her bathing suit and the waterslide is set up in the yard...we really have gotten it out almost every day!)

3. We have been busy getting Campbell ready to start kindergarten.  She and I spent some time shopping via the computer for her backpack and lunchbox, we went to her kindergarten screening to meet her teacher, and we even have been "practicing" with different lunch options (she's not the biggest sandwich fan, so we're experimenting with different options like this one with hummus, veggies, mini-triscuits, fruit, and a whole grain chocolate zucchini muffin for dessert).

Here is the backpack she picked out.  I'm sure there will be first day of school post with many pictures of her with her backpack!

4. One of the things I love most about the summers is the time I get to spend with the girls.  We have had so much fun going to the pool, having playdates with friends, and just finding things to do together.  In this picture we had gone to enjoy some free ice cream at EarthFare :)

5.  This is one of my favorite videos of all time...the girls are getting so sneaky but they are darn cute.
