Crafty Mommy Monday- Apps

I know, I know...Crafty Mommy Monday has been absent for quite a while.  I have high hopes that with Spring coming, I'll be more motivated to keep it up.

Today's topic is Apps.  I realize this isn't very "crafty" but we have recently added an IPhone and an IPad to our technology family.  I have been really impressed with the availability and affordability of educational and/or entertaining apps out there for children.  I thought I'd list some of our favorites and ask for you to share yours!

Some of our favorite kids' apps and a brief description:

-Starfall ABCs  ($2.99)
Much like the awesome website, starfall.com, the Starfall app is an interactive alphabet.  It has music and animations to teach letters and letter sounds.  One of our favorites!
Even Maggie loves Starfall!

-Preschool Memory Match (Free)
Campbell is currently obsessed with Memory/Concentration Games so we were excited when we found this one.  It has 3 different difficulty levels and she's done well with both the Easy and Medium levels.  It has little reinforcers once the child finishes a game (graphics that spin and move).

-Alphabet Tracing (Free)
This is a new app we just got.  It looks neat but we haven't played with it enough to really know how much we'll like it.

-SpinArt (.99)
This is another new app that Campbell is still exploring.  So far she seems to like it and I like that it's a creative, "artistic" app unlike most of the others that we have.

-Elmo's Monster Maker ($3.99)
Campbell loved this when we first got the Ipad and still uses it every once in a while.  It's great for younger children who are just learning to use the touch screen.  It allows them to decorate and create their own "monsters".  It's holiday-themed so maybe not great for this time of year.

-The Monster at the End of this Book (for the Ipad) ($3.99)
We love this app! Do you remember this story with Grover?  Here is a video of Campbell interacting with it!

Potty Training in the 21st Century :)
So, please let us know what are your favorite apps for kids?
