5 on Friday

As always, here are 5 reasons I'm loving my girls this week:

1.  Campbell is still earning stickers for little prizes for potty training.  This week she was really excited about a little Toy Story tambourine that was her prize.  When she finally earned enough stickers to get it, she played with it all day and insisted upon taking it with her to bed.  When I went back in to check on her before I went to bed, I found her like this:  (hint, if you look below the purple Tinkerbell pillow under her head, you can see the tambourine...I think she loved it.  Please excuse her sweaty hair...the girl gets hot at night!).

2.  Maggie had a tough week.  Really, she had one tough day.  In one day she fell head-first off the bed and hit her face on the corner of the counter and bruised the bridge of her nose and looked like she had a black eye.  Luckily, after calming down after each incident, she didn't seem to hold them against me (despite my own guilt about letting my baby get hurt).  Here is a picture that kind of shows her black eye:

3.  Campbell enjoys our Netflix app on our Ipad and uses it to watch instant videos (especially on the potty).  She has learned to scroll though and find what she wants to watch.  We learned this week (when somehow a Dora Princess movie was somehow added to the front of our at home queue) that she has learned how to request movies that aren't available instantly.  She was pretty excited when the movie she wanted came in the mail...

4.  Maggie's hair is...well, it's something.  As someone who has very fine, very flat hair, there is a definite learning curve when you have a baby with curly hair.  This week I've been experimenting with hair products and I love the results.  Here is a few "before" pictures...in one of them she's even showing off her new "product" (check the black eye picture above to see the differences "after"):

5,  I admit it, I have created a monster.  One day this week, Campbell was wearing her pajamas and had an accident so I gave her another pair of pajama pants to change into.  She took one look at the pajamas and said "Mama, those pants don't match my pajamas."  She was right.  I finally convinced her to wear them since we weren't going anywhere.  And yes, this is the same kid asks for a bow as soon as she's dressed and has definite opinions on which bows (and shoes, tights, etc) match what outfits.  If she's like this at 3, what is she going to be like at 13?!
