Friday the girls and I didn't have school so we decided to head to Riverbanks Zoo. We met one of my good friends, Jessica, and her 2 little ones, Cade and Ashlyn. It was Maggie's 1st trip and it was...eventful.
What do I mean by "eventful"? Well, just check out the caption of this picture:

| Wagon: $129. Car in whose trunk said wagon is stuck: $10k. Comp-ed rental double stroller at the zoo b/c the security guard felt sorry for me?: Priceless! |
Yep, after much thought and debate, I decided to take our wagon instead of the double stroller. Robbie very thoughtfully put it in the trunk of our car for me. All was well until I tried to get it out of the trunk and it would not come out. Two very nice security guards came to my rescue...or they tried to anyway. They were also not able to get the wagon out. They were so sweet and felt very badly for me so they gave me one of the rental strollers since they couldn't help me. After much wrestling, Robbie finally got the wagon out after we got home...
Campbell's favorite animals were the elephants and giraffes. She even got to feed one of the baby giraffes and was so excited. Too bad I had my hands full with Maggie and didn't get any pictures of that.
Jessica did take a picture of me with the girls and I got one of her and Cade.

So nice of them to comp the stroller - but that's a frustrating way to start the visit!
I find that some of the best (most fun, most memorable) times are when I just put the camera down and enjoy. Sounds like you all had fun!
Oh man, that sure makes for a funny story now!
