5 on Friday

As always, here are 5 reasons I'm loving my girls this week:

1.  This past weekend we went to our favorite pool/waterpark.  When it was time to leave, Robbie told Campbell it was time to go.  She said, "No, I can't go.  I'm a mermaid."  He responded that she still had to go and she said "No! I'm a mermaid!  I WILL DIE!"  She's getting good at these inventive excuses: a couple of days later when Robbie told her it was time to get out of the bathtub, she said "My wings are wet!  I cannot fly!"  He was a little perplexed as to how to respond...

2.  While we were at the pool, we got the girls a special treat...ice cream.  Maggie ate this whole ice cream cone by herself!

3.  Campbell has said some really funny things this week about preschool:
-The night before she started, we were talking about it and said "You'll be in Mrs. Chamberlain's class."  Her response?  "No, it's my class."  Should have been a warning sign...
-After her 1st day, Robbie said "You need to go to bed so you can see your teacher and friends tomorrow." Campbell said, "I don't want to." "Why not Campbell?" "Because I'll miss you tomorrow daddy."
-This morning we were telling her she needed to be a good listener at school.  Her response? "I'm not giving up."  Whether she was talking about not giving up on being a good listener or not giving up control, we weren't sure...

4.  Maggie actually willingly went to her teacher this morning.  It was a first and we were so happy! It helped that the teacher had one of her loveys to give her, but whatever works is good for us!


5.  To celebrate Campbell having a great end to her first week (after showing her more feisty side the first couple of days), we treated her to ice cream.  Her good buddy, Eleanor, joined us.
