Over the last 9 weeks Martha and I have come to realize that the babies who get a "little extra special attention" are the ones who "require it." What I mean is that the ones who are fussy are the ones who are being held or being carried around, or pushed around in strollers. Well, I'm proud to announce . . . Campbell is one of those babies. Over the past few days, it is not uncommon for us to come back and find Campbell being walked around . . . or helping a nurse do computer charting. At first I thought that was so cool . . . look at our baby being shown off . . . but then I realized today that it's not necessarily that she's being shown around because she's so darn cute and her outfits always match her hat . . . no, it's because she's fussy about 15 minutes before feedings . . . . real fussy. Today when we came back the nurse was holding her and as soon as we made eye contact with the nurse a look of relief came across her face as if thank goodness . . . your baby wants you.
Oh well . . . they can say that they are holding her because she's being fussy or because she has a "tude" (attitude) . . . we all know it's because she's darn cute and they like showing her off.
So here is your update . . . things are going great. She's had a few bradys over the past few days and most people think it's "feeding related" which is good . . . but since she's coming off the caffeine, they've decided that she will be coming home on a monitor. This is probably a good thing and will help allow her parents to get some sleep at night knowing that if something goes wrong, a very loud, ear piercing alarm will go off. She'll have this monitor for a month or so or until our pediatrician DCs it. They've also given us her prescriptions that we need to get filled at a "compounding" pharmacy. Nope, Target nor Walgreen's is one of these. There is only one in Rock Hill, Good Pharmacy. Campbell also got another tub bath yesterday. This is her enjoying her time under the warming lamps. Doesn't she look so happy!?
Finally, Campbell had to say her final farewell last night to one of her primary nurses . . . Nurse Christine. No, it's not that Campbell got released (later this week), it that Christine only works weekends and she's taking next weekend off . . . so the chances are very good that before Christine comes back to work, Campbell will be home with us. This is Campbell doing her most favorite past time . . . computer charting.
Well that's it for now . . . it's time to enjoy some bonding time with Campbell!

Getting a tan under the light? You have grown so much and just get cuter everyday! I really thing the nurses hold you because you are so cute. I am counting the days when you come home. I rode by your house today and I thought about you. It won't be long. You know what? I don't know if anyone has told you, but you will have a nice backyard to play in!

By the looks of that third pic, Campbell may really enjoy sunbathing. "Gonna soak up the sun..."
