Happy 1st Birthday, Maggie!

Maggie is a year old!
Weight: 23 lbs, 12 oz 75-90th percentile
Height: 28 1/2 inches 25th percentile
Head Circumference: 75-90th percentile

It's hard to believe that Maggie is already a year old. It's been a bittersweet day. Thrilled that we're celebrating a year with our baby and sad that she's not really a baby anymore...

At one year, Maggie is a pistol. She is not afraid to let you know her feelings and big sister better watch out...pretty soon taking her toys will not be tolerated. She is all over the place and can crawl like a bat outta...I mean really fast ;).   She says a few words: Mama, uh-oh, and she babbles all the time.  We've heard her say "more", "Dada", and "banana" but those aren't consistent.  She is down to one bottle a day and I'm pretty sure that she's about to be done with that.

She loves music and will bounce along to it.  We took her swimming for the first time this week and she was a little unsure, but I'm pretty sure she's going to be a water baby.  She loves playing with other kids, even if she gets a little rough (could have something to do with being the younger sister?).  She loves to be tickled and turned upside down.  Her laugh is infectious and even if she's being fussy, if we blow a raspberry on her belly, she will giggle hysterically.

I just love watching her interact with Campbell. One of the best things about having a second baby is watching the relationship develop between the two of them.

Here are her birthday pictures taken by our very talented photographer (and babysitter), Abbie.  I'm thankful we did the pictures before her stitches!

The birthday invitation done by my friend Jaime at FinePrints.  Didn't they turn out awesome?!  I had them printed as postcards and included the party information on the back.

I really love the pictures that Abbie did. She has talent but it helps when your subject is so precious.
