1. The other night, the girls and I arrived home from dinner at my parents' house. I got out and got Maggie, closing the car doors behind us. Robbie came out to greet us and get Campbell out. Campbell's car door has the child lock on so we have to specifically unlock the door when we get her out. Robbie reached into the front passenger door and hit the unlock button and closed the door. Except...he actually hit the lock button. After looking for the spare key, we realized one was in the car and we couldn't find the other one. Campbell was still in her carseat so she couldn't unlock the door (although she tried reaching with her foot). We have AAA and they could have come, but they have about a 45 minute wait time and we knew Campbell wouldn't handle that calmly. So, we called the fine folks of the Rock Hill Fire Department. They arrived in about 5 minutes and promptly rescued Campbell.
2. Yesterday, Maggie fell and hit her head against the side of a table. After spending 3 hours in the ER, Maggie was sporting 4 stitches. Thankfully, she is fine otherwise and has been acting like her normal busy and active self.
Waiting in the hospital:
Sporting her 4 stitches (and the remnants of grape popsicle)

HOLY COW! That's a crazy week if I've ever heard one. Glad to hear everybody is ok. Good call on the fire dept. I'll have to remember that in case it happens to us.
