Hello Peeps,
This is the one and only Campbell Ann Compton . . . it's been a while so let me catch you up . . . . I've worked my little (very little) butt off these past few days. I've gone from 2 or 3 feedings a day to about 6 and 7. Each day I'm getting stronger and able to take more and more feedings. Pretty soon, I'll be up to those 8 a day. Once I'm there, then I'll be a day or so away from coming home. Speaking of, I have a new nurse today and her name is Mary. I really like her a lot! I get to help her chart on her computer and she walks me around to meet everyone. Also, guess what Mary told my mommy . . . she needs to go ahead and bring in the car seat and "going home" outfit. . . . I believe they save this for the final seven days. Awesome!
I've had some really nice visits over the past few days. I enjoyed meeting Missi. She's sounds like what my dad calls a "yankee!" I also was able to hang out with my most favorite* aunt in the whole wide world. That's a picture of Aunt Beth holding me. Then on Saturday, my grandma and grandpa came to visit. This is them holing me. It was quite funny . . . right when my daddy went to take a picture of them with his new camera . . . the battery died! So he took a picture of them with his cell phone. As you notice, grandma has a "banned from the NICU X on her face . . . yep, you guessed it . . . she's been banned from the NICU. What happen was she's been told by a nurse before (because of previous incident) not to look at, comment on, or approach any of the babies in the NICU. Well, my daddy made the mistake to point out a set of triplets who are on the other side of me to her. She asked daddy if she could go see them and of course he said no . . . I even heard him say no. So my daddy continues to walk out when guess what . . . . grandma was walking towards them anyway . . . hehe, everyone knows the rules in the NICU, you don't approach other babies. Anyway, grandma asked a nurse if she could see them and AGAIN, she was told no! At this time, Mary, the nurse that I liked, began walking to grandma to ask her to step away from the other babies' crib. Needless to say . . . they've put a 3 week ban against grandma. (of course this a minor exaggeration of the story . . . she actually didn't get banned . . . but as for the rest of the story . . . it is true)
Anyway, I'm getting ready for a nursing . . . so I need to go. Ta-Ta for now . . . until next time!

Hey Campbell, I just got home from Church,we have early church, and I told everyone how good you are doing. They were so glad. Poor Grandma, it would have been hard for me not to look at the other babies. I bet you are still the cutest one there. Keep up the good work and we will be seeing you real soon.
Love
Cousin Susan
Now Campbell, your daddy is slightly exaggerating this story., but that's okay, it's his story and since your daddy is my son, I won't argue the point. BUT!!!!! I never stepped off of the walkway to see the babies. But anyhow,we had so much fun yesterday getting to hold you and cuddle you and oohing and awwing. Then we got to take your mommy and daddy to lunch and spend some time with them (we only did it because we were trying to act like we weren't neglecting them, ha-ha). You have grown so much and God had been so good to you and the whole family. I bet you get to go home this week and that will be another new and exciting experience in your life. I think you are one of the most beautiful babies we've seen. Actually we have only seen 3 beautiful babies, and all 3 of you have been such a joy and blessing to us. Hope to see you soon again! love, Grandma and Grandpa
If stepping off the walkway means not hopping in the crib with them, then sure, she didn't step off the walkway.
Campbell,
I'm glad your Mommy and Daddy qualified the "Favorite Aunt" comment!
Also, Yankees aren't too bad. Your Uncle Dean is one and I love him alot! I think you'll like him too - he's alot of fun!
Love, Aunt Ju-Ju
haha!!!
I wanted to jump in the crib with them, but nurses were coming out of the wall when I looked toward the crib they were in. I wonder how long the criminal act will stay on my credit? love ya
