So the plan today was to post with the title "Guess who has breathed 24 hours with no help" and I would have started it, "Martha and I breathed with no assistance for 24 hours . . . Campbell, she breathed for X hours." However, the problem (a great problem to have) is that as of writing this (10:30pm), Campbell has been breathing on her own since 2am. That's 20 and a half hours . . . ON HER OWN!!!!
So besides being a big girl and breathing on her own . . . she also had the PIC line (central IV) removed. The only tubes that she is connected to are the heart monitor, oxygen monitor, and the feeding tube . . . how awesome is that! Martha was able to spend most of the day at the hospital with her (since 9am) . . . . me, I was at work all day. Today has probably been the toughest day at work knowing that she was off the CPAP all day. To top it all off, I had to stay until 8pm to teach a class for the district so I wasn't able to see her all day. Out of all days to miss seeing her!!!!
Martha and I would like to thank everyone of you for your prayers and thoughts . . . . seeing her progress, especially after today, she's definitely proof of the power of prayer . . . . thank you!!!
