First Feeding

Last night was the first bottle feeding and it went better than to be expected. Her feedings are up to 33ml at a time. She took about 10ml of the bottle before I decide that she had enough. I didn't want her to get too tired from her first feeding. In case some of you are wondering . . . so she took 10ml, and then she's tube fed the other 23ml. At 6:15 this morning, we make our usual call to the hospital. Our nurse from last night told us that she gave her another bottle this morning and she took 13ml . . . so she's getting there.

As promised, I'll keep everyone informed with any coming home information that we receive. So I asked the nurse from last night about coming home and she gave us the "canned answer" of the due date or a week before . . . . blah, blah, blah. She wasn't very "comforting" if you know what I mean. So on the way out, I saw the wonderful, always knows Campbell's current stats, Dr. Rama (pictured below . . . this is two days after giving birth . . . doesn't Martha look great!)

. . . and he told us that they do usually come home early. If he had to guess, he's say anywhere from 2-3 weeks, or up to 4 with Campbell . . . but he did say that 3 weeks from now would be good. For those baby madness people, that puts us right at April 5. If you've voted and wish to change your mind on the date/time, shoot me an email. If you haven't voted . . . you have a few days to email me your votes.
