The Karate Kid

Here are the videos that I promised last night. the first one is not a very good video, but if you listen to it, you can hear Campbell hiccup over and over. The second video is of the nurse transferring Campbell from her isolette to Martha. She was able to hold her last night for about 30 minutes.

As for today, she had a great day filled with plenty of rest. Her feedings are up to 4.8ml and is planned to go up to 5.4 in the morning. We were up there for about an hour today. Martha changed her diaper and we were there for her glycerin suppository. Lucky us . . . . lucky her. The glycerin suppositories are to help aid in the digestion (if you know what I mean). Oh, she did gain 1oz!

We did see the funniest thing today . . . . her CPAP wasn't in the best of positions so Martha had the nurse fix it on her face. Well, Campbell didn't like that at all . . . all of a sudden, Campbell grabbed hold of the nurse's hand and began pushing it away. When that didn't work, she did what we would describe as repetitive kung fu karate chops to the nurse's hand. It was quite amusing. Unfortunately I didn't have my video camera out in time to film my little karate kid.

Campbell, you have cute hic-ups! Now let's not be too rough on the nurses with your new learned karate. You are just getting stronger everyday. We are so proud of you and we are equally proud of your mommy and daddy. They are real troupers. I am glad you are doing so good. I pray for you daily and look forward to meeting you soon.Keep up the good work and be a good little girl today.

Anna does karate chops all the time. We call them her busy arms. They start going real fast and then you know the fuss face is coming. It's hard to get her to be still once the dreaded busy arms start going. Ahhh!!
