My Marsupial Mama

My mommy and daddy said that people are praying for my digestion and it has worked since they have put me back my mommy's milk. I'm up to .6ml per 3 hours for the next 5 days. According to these pictures from tonight, it appears that I'm drunk off my mom's milk. =)

I had a really good day today. I was able to see my parents twice and my daddy's friend, Susan, came up to see me too. I also felt what it was like to be a Joey (that's a baby kangaroo) today. At 8pm, my mommy and daddy came back to see me and we were able to have a kangaroo care session. The nurse, which I really liked, took me out of my isolette and put me down my mommy's shirt. As soon as she put me there, I fell fast sleep. If you look closely at the second to last picture, that's me sleeping with my mouth wide open. It felt like I laid there for hours, but my daddy says that it was only for 35 minutes. I really liked how warm it felt in there. I can't wait to do it again tomorrow night.

That last picture is of my daddy. I want to let you know that he's not scared to hold me . . . that's as high as he could raise me since I'm still connected to the bubble c-pap. Speaking of, I was able to be off the c-pap today for 30 minutes while I was breathing real room air. It was an accident why I wasn't on it . . . but because I did so well with it, the doctors are going to considering coming up with a plan to wean me off it. Also, when my parents came in today, my daddy noticed that I didn't have any bile backup in my feeding tube. The nurse was impressed too . . . . until she realized that the reason there was not backup . . .. . I pulled out my own feeding tube . . . hehe

Thanks for everyone who said a little prayer for me . . . . I cannot wait to meet you all some day!

Martha,
there is nothing more amazing than holding that baby! I am so glad that Campbell is doing so well! I think of y'all often and must check the blog every hour. I will try to give you a call sometime but I remember how overwhelming it felt to try to keep up with everyone when Lulu was in the hospital. Call me if you need anything!
