Over the past few days Martha and I have been discussing the events from the day of the delivery. For example, did someone come in and give her a shot at 1:30am the morning of the delivery? (yes, the nurse came in at 1:30 to give her some "calming" medicine after her 2nd high BP reading in a row) Or, did the doctor come in at 2:30am to talk with us? (yes, he came in around 2:30 to decide if we needed to go to labor/delivery) Anyway, where I'm heading with this . . . . today I came in and Martha was looking at the blog laughing. I asked her what's so funny . . . she was reading the post from the delivery day! Thank goodness I kept accurate records on the blog . . . for those "fuzzy" moments!
Enough about me . . . onto Campbell . . . . as you can tell from the pictures, I held her today (kangaroo care). Blogger almost made me take that last picture of me off the blog for being "too sexy" (check out that sexy, masculine chest) If you actually look closely at it, you'll see a little Campbell Ann there somewhere. I also was able to feed her today. She's been on breast milk for 24 hours straight (.6ml every 3 hours). She's had no bile backup (THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS). She even had BM today around 2pm . . . which is a great sign!!! Oh, she gained a little weight today too!
Besides being thankful for the Blog . . . we're thankful for wonderful nurses. Our new weekend nighttime nurse, Christine, is wonderful. She just loves Campbell. She loves how feisty and spirited Campbell is. We took Christine, and the other nighttime nurses, a Nanny Cake. Campbell is sure guaranteed to have great care with the nurses . . . THANKS Nanny.

Martha,
I am so impressed with your little miracle. Tears are in my eyes. I have not checked the site in 2 days as we moved this weekend. I can not believe all the things she is already doing for a 27 weeker!!! She sounds like she has an amazing spirit that will take her far in NICU and in life. I am also impressed with you and Robbie. She continues to be close in my prayers and thoughts.

Did you ever think a BM could be so exciting? Robbie, you may want to put some sunblock on that chest of yours since you are around all those billy lights! Ok, I hope I was able to make you laugh for a second!
Seriously, things are sounding so great! We are so glad to hear it! The smilebox was great and very moving. We love you!
I love the blog, especially the smile box, which should be called the cry box, because that is what it made me do. You three are amazing with all of the progress you are making. The prayers keep coming. I hope to get to see you soon.

The two of you have a wondeful sense of humor. Please remember that I am thinking of the three of you constantly and I will continue to pray for you all.
Love
Chandra
