Martha & Robbie's World - Sara's Perspective

This is Sara, Martha's sister, bloggin'. Just thought I'd share some thoughts on Martha and Robbie's adventures in the hospital. Sweet Martha is laid up in the bed with her famous "feel good" blanket and every trashy celebrity magazine our other sister Emily could find. Robbie will only let her have one magazine at a time though because, as we all know, Martha will read them all in about two seconds if we don't ration them out.

Robbie has become famous at this hospital. The nurses refer to him as "quite a character." He has learned that bribing the nurses with peanut M&M's is a great way to get what they want. He talked the doctors and nurses into granting Martha a 30 minute wheelchair ride around the hospital yesterday...as you can imagine, after 12 days of bedrest Martha is quite bored! Thank goodness she has Robbie for entertainment! He is trying to keep her blood pressure down by amusing her continuously. At the moment, he is trying to reach the nurse by speaking through the monitor hooked up to Martha's stomach. For some reason, I don't think this is going to work. I sure hope he doesn't try to grab the bright red CPR handle on the bed to get her attention...he pulled this handle the other day - and the entire bed collapsed - thank goodness Martha wasn't in the it!!

So, all in all, they are in good spirits and are making the most of it. We continue praying for Martha's health and the baby's health, and thank God for every additional day she gets!
